  • What’s the difference between hardside and softside luggage? Hardside luggage is made from rigid materials like polycarbonate or ABS, offering superior protection against impact and moisture. Softside luggage is made from flexible fabrics like nylon or polyester, often featuring external pockets for easy access and the ability to expand for extra packing space.
  • Do your suitcases come with locks? Many of our suitcases, especially hardside models, come with integrated TSA-approved combination locks for added security. This allows airport security (TSA) to open and inspect your bag without damaging the lock. Please check the individual product description for specific lock features.
  • Are your products covered by a warranty? Yes, Tuum offers a limited warranty on all our luggage products, covering manufacturing defects. The length and terms of the warranty vary by product. Please refer to the product’s description or contact us for specific warranty details.
  • How do I clean my luggage? For hardside luggage, simply wipe the surface with a damp cloth and mild soap. For softside luggage, spot clean with a gentle fabric cleaner and a soft brush.   • What are carry-on, checked, and personal item luggage? Carry-on luggage (or hand luggage) is a bag you take into the airplane cabin and store in the overhead bin. Personal items are smaller bags (like a backpack or purse) that fit under the seat in front of you. Checked luggage is larger baggage that you check with the airline to be stored in the cargo hold. Always check your airline’s specific size and weight restrictions for each category.
